regulated vacuum preservation machinery

What is CONSERVER®?

CONSERVER® ensures the regulated vacuum preservation of newspapers, books and all types of paper-based materials. It also guarantees the vacuum conservation of wooden and metal materials and blocks their oxidation processes.

A safe heritage

Our device satisfies the primary need of archives, museums and libraries: a low-cost machine capable of protecting and storing paper material easily and conveniently.

How is the CONSERVER® system composed?

Easy to use, it brings together state-of-the-art engineering and user-friendliness.
CONSERVER® consists of:

  • a central unit for setting operating parameters equipped with a large display for operator guidance
  • an auxiliary structure to enlarge the working surface
  • DRY device for immediate removal of water and liquids (on request)

How does CONSERVER® achieve vacuum preservation?

CONSERVER® removes the air contained in a special plastic film envelope which contains the book, file or work of art, thus creating an adjustable-level vacuum.
The envelope is then hermetically sealed and the object is isolated from the outside.
The result is effective protection against physical and environmental factors over time.

Features of Conserver®

  1. Adaptable to several vacuum-sealed bags
  2. Gradual vacuum progression
  3. Manual adjustment of vacuum level
  4. Cost-effectiveness and minimal maintenance
  5. Possibility of cutting and sealing bags to  the desired size

Other advantages of CONSERVER®

Discourages unauthorized access: the plastic bag that protects the vacuum-packed item must be cut to open it. Any break-in attempt is immediately visible.

Prevents the object from prying eyes: an aluminium light layer makes the contents of the envelope impermeable to all light frequencies and to view.

Stiffens materials and reduces archive space: vacuum-packed magazines and newspapers acquire rigidity and can be stored in the upright position. They can be easily catalogued and consulted as hardcover books.

Protects against contact with water and liquids: insulating and sealing wet books or newspapers drastically slows down the growth of mould and fungus and prevents serious damage from fungal infections, without resorting to difficult and costly cryogenic processes.

Reduces or eliminates flatness flaws and/or undulations originating from cryogenic processes.

Isolates wet material and removes large amounts of excess water from books and documents in the event of flooding of archives, if equipped with optional DRY device.
